hello blog world! just wanted to stop by and say hi on this beautiful saturday! this morning felt amazing and gave a sneak peek of the fall weather…hopefully coming sooner than later. had breakfast with my bestie too! it was fabulous. i don’t see her enough. going to my niece’s 4th bday party soon AND THEN…Texas Football.

hope everyone had a fabulous holiday! ours was a little more laid back than usual….but i am not complaining. awesome church service with a great evangelist Joe Oden and a big Mexican lunch with the youth to feed me and the baby. had a little food baby to go along with my little one. :) then hung out with husband all day long. even got to watch fireworks from our back porch. molly panda was shaking the whole time…poor thing. all in all it was a great day. here’s to a great week ahead! yay for freedom!

family got together this weekend to celebrate dad’s 60th in corpus christi. recap: lots of lovely family time, lots of food, lots of sun, lots of seaweed, lots of sea shells, lots of seaweed, lots of relaxing, some fishing, some world cup and baseball, and lots of food. it was amazing. i heart my family. lots of pics….

man the past few days have been rough. i think i’ve slept 3/4 of the days away. these naps are over powering me….i don’t even like taking naps. i feel they waste my day, but now they are life savers. school has been rough lately too. thank goodness i have super understanding professors who have been pregnant before and know where i’m coming from! :)

a few more running around errands to do tomorrow morning and then were off to a little family vaca to the coast for some fishing for my dad’s 60th birthday! there will be some competition fishing going on between the girls and guys. bring it.

first off…thank you to all those out there who served our wonderful country! and to those who are! y’all are amazing! second…hope everyone enjoyed their day off! and for those who had to work…i am sorry. i’ve been there. no fun. got to see my bestie this morning at one of our fav meeting joints…good ole starbucks. :) enjoyed some good coffee and convo.

we also had great weather today at the lake! took some of the kids in the youth and a few friends of mine to soak up the sun. although i pretty much stayed in the shade half of the time. did enjoy some volleyball, legs in the water and toooons of food. in a food coma now. (didn’t take any pictures today! sad day). but definitely enjoyed being with friends and hanging out.

now going to relax even more with husband. :) pardon my absence from the blog lately…i have a really good reason! that i will share with you later this week!!! can’t wait. but i will definitely be getting back into it. a little motivation helps a long ways too. :)

happy mother’s day

i should actually say happy mom’s day!! (my mom doesn’t like to be called “mother”) ;) but i absolutely love her oh so much!!!! sad i couldn’t hang out with her today, but i will make up for it soon! she is one of the main reasons why i got into crafting and art and making things. she’s a creative genius too!! i learned lots of artsy things from her….and of course millions of other things in life. i hope all you mothers out there had a fabulous day and know how much you are loved!!!

happy earth day everyone!! with the girls today. they learned about making the earth happy on dora. awesome. :) thanks to Kristin at What are we doing today Mom? we rolled, baked, decorated, admired, and of course ate these!! tons of fun and threw in some education :)

there are a thousand pictures i would post but that’s a lot. lol. married life is a blessing and i thank God everyday for my soulmate. here’s to many, many more years!!! he’s the love of my life and my biggest fan. he encourages me and supports me through everything and i adore him. i want to say thank you to all my friends and family who made that day and my life amazing!! even my blog readers!! i can’t make it without your support! :)

lovely easter weekend.

it is starting to get warmer!! and i love it….for now. :) we had a wonderful Easter. some lovely ladies helped me hide over 600 eggs before church service. grateful for them.

so many eggs/candy were donated to the church it was awesome!….plastic, confetti, and even some hard boiled. ha. kid’s church went well….around these times i get a little nervous teaching the kids the resurrection of Jesus because it is soooo important that i don’t want to leave anything out! lol but i think they got it. :)

i’m pretty sure they would have ran me over if i didn’t let them start the hunt…they almost ran over lisa…ha. i have amazing pics of the kids (but i feel weird putting them up here without their parents’ permission) sooo just imagine how cute they are! :)

2 huge events this weekend plus everything else…wore me out. but in a good way. ha. now on to school stuff…(over half way through with this term!!) and more cooking (bought new vegetarian books!!)…and more crafts. i need to craft something. what shall i do next???

royal’s owl party

so autumn’s baby shower was tons of fun!! baby royal got lots of goodies and tons of love from friends and family. brandi, ashley, laura, and i did our best decorating, feeding, and hosting the shower.

added a little glue…

and made these fun toppers.

not gonna lie…they look kinda creepy after awhile. haha but they tasted so good! thanks beth for the help!

and made these!!! they were my fav. i saw them here and thought they were perfect so i had to attempt. :)

made some fun homes for the baby owls to sit in.

threw in some center pieces. going for the earthy look.

can’t go wrong with some circles on a string.

or some old fashion garland…not very bright but they were pretty colors:)

brandi did a cute job decorating the napkins and cups!

can’t forget some of the yummy food…it was pretty so i had to take a pic.

autumn looooved all of her precious gifts!

these owls are special! the body is made out of baby royal’s big sister iris’ hand prints. (that was a mouthful)

had tons of fun. babies are fun. can’t wait for mid june to come around!!! owl you need is love. ha :)
